Following up the urban strategies proposed from last term, 1st year MArch students continue developed building design scheme for Millbay. A wide range of building design has been proposed which supplemented by design and technical strategies booklets. Final presentation board has deliberates the core idea of each project, also physical models to enhance user experience in the building.
MArch first year urban strategies and masterplan final review exhibits creative and innovative ideas. Students presented urban strategies that are environmentally resilience, economically diverse and socially conscious.
The understanding of the site context and local social issues are crucial to produce urban spatial strategies that respond to Millbay and surrounding. Students also consider about the actors such as ABP, Plymouth City Council and Plymouth Waterfront Partnership who are potentially getting involve in Millbay future development.
Students presented their ideas through poster, 3D scaled model, conceptual timeline model and also multimedia presentation to give the audience a clearer vision of their project. We will update with more detail buildings design on next term.
