This proposal considers the creation of a prefabricated form of construction that can be used on both existing structural frames and new. By doing this it can be used to refurbish the derelict buildings within the Ursus site whilst at the same time creating new buildings in amongst those existing.
Within this scheme it was important to consider the existing buildings and the spaces between them to determine what can be utilised and what could be adapted to suit the needs of the community at this moment in time. The evolution of space with the prefabrication and its flexibility allows people to evolve with it. If space is adaptable, flexible and economical it allows the spaces to evolve with the changing needs of the community, over time and through the optimisation of space.
