Year 2 Final Project – Symposium

The product of a years strategising, researching, theorising and designing for Cieszyn, Poland, are finally here, concluding the year with a final exhibition and presentations.

Two years of hard work has come to an end with a display of some really impressive work. Everyone has outdone themselves and produced some extremely complex, detailed and exciting projects.

We effectively translated theories and design methodologies to spatial proposals ranging from the technical and high-tech inspired approaches to the social and people focused, energy and resilient infrastructure approaches to the political.

We were delighted to have some great guests on the day who provided some very positive and welcome feedback: Rhiannon Corvin, founder of AltGen; Ciaran Mackel from The University of Ulster; Dr Lukasz Pancewicz from Lodz City Council, Poland; and Jonathan Braddick, RIBA South West Regional Chair.

The projects received high praise at the recent awards ceremony and will be available to view as part of the end of year Architecture and Design Exhibition from this Thursday onward on floor 5, Roland Levinsky Building, Plymouth.

(More detailed descriptions and images of each project will be uploaded to the projects page over the coming weeks)

A more detailed look at the projects:

Good luck to Year 1 students moving to Year 2 and best of luck to new students joining the course in September, I’m sure it will be an exciting and fun year!
