M.Arch End of Year Show: Architecture/Periphery/Revolution?
Mile End Pavilion, London, 11th to 14th of June 2012
Is truly innovative architecture only possible with big money and high-tech ability? Or is it the opposite? Maybe it is the lack of these that creates an empty space in which new ideas can be born? Are London and the UK still the centre shaping the future, or has it ceased to be the centre a long time ago? Maybe the centre is no longer a geographical location, but the hegemonic ideology of neoliberal capitalism, which since 2008 has been crumbling to pieces? If so, the revolution can start anywhere – in Tunis, Porto Alegre, Zielona Gora or Plymouth
