After a few weeks’ work, First Year students got to present the information they gathered regarding the context of Plymouth. Everyone submitted their work to Tom and Fontas who compiled the brief for the second design project of this year: “Waterfront Regeneration”. The presentations which started in the morning, ended in the early afternoon and were soon followed by tutorials where the individuals and groups discussed their urban strategies. Apologies for the bad pictures, the room was dark!
Having the complete brief will help everyone to broaden their perspective on the context of the waterfront and the factors that might affect their strategy proposals, but don’t forget to read it before Monday’s lecture because Simon said the exercises will be based on it!!
Here are a few panoramic pictures of Plymouth’s waterfront from Google that might also be useful:
The copyright of the pictures belongs to Mike Edwards, so please remember to reference him if you are going to use them in your projects! They were posted here: http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=120576
