Friday’s workshop was an exploration of the qualities that make buildings successful. Both first and second year students worked in groups in order to combine case studies of buildings that act like “movement generators”, analyse them and create one hybrid building.
The students were given a few hours to create all the appropriate drawings and models in order to present their designs.
As a very interesting break from the work, the students were able to attend a lecture by Oliver Colvile, local MP, who talked about the ways that architects can convince local authorities for planning permissions.
Thank you to all who attended the tutorials until the late end of the day and to our guest Oliver Colvile for his very useful advice.
